Node.js Backend Engineer (f,m,d – remote)
We are hiring a Full-Time Node.js Backend Developer who will have an essential role in building our MVP and helping us scale the product. You should have senior-level experience in building the backend for mobile apps and love to analyze data.
Your playground
You will mainly be working on the GraphQL API and CMS frontend and ensure the Flutter team can rely on a fast API to fetch our content as well as upload all user-generated data.
You make sure that all backend systems are well monitored, secure, and withstand the production load easily.
You take care of the Docker containers running in AWS on ECS/Fargate and make sure the Gitlab CI/CD pipelines are continuously testing your code changes and deploying properly.
You prepare the data stored in PostgreSQL and on S3 for data analysis together with your team members and help improve our data analysis algorithms.

As a senior mobile developer in the team, you will be responsible for:
- Building a rock-solid product our users love
- Taking ownership of tasks and make sure things get done
- Help planning our short and long term feature roadmap
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends
- Help other team members with your technical expertise
- Proactively getting involved in improving our processes

- Testing: Jest (Backend), Integration and Unit Tests (Flutter)

- Design: Figma
Which skills do you need?
Essential skills
- You have 3+ years of experience in Node (JavaScript or TypeScript)
- You have experience working with PostgreSQL, GraphQL, CI/CD and Docker
- You have worked closely with the mobile app team
- You are able to move projects forward with (sometimes) little direction
- You have clear writing skills in English
Bonus skills
- You have worked with strapi.io before
- You have experience with Terraform, Gitlab and ECS/Fargate
- You have worked in startups before
- You are excited about nutrition, health and sports
- You understand the concept of metabolic health
- You bring interest or even experience with Machine Learning concepts
